You and your Mobility Scooter...

1. Will you be using your mobility scooter indoors or outdoors?
If you are going to be using your scooter inside consider a smaller compact scooter which has a small turning cricle and is easy to maneuver. If you will be travelling outdoors, you will need a more larger more sturdy scooter that can handle rough ground and uneven pavements easily. Stability, speed and range are important considerations.

2. Will you be using your mobility scooter on curbs or steep hills?
If you will be using your scooter to climb curbs or steep hills, you may need a scooter with larger batteries and more power. A large 4 wheeled scooter has the power to handle such obstacles.

3. Will you be driving your mobility scooter on roads?
If you are likely to be driving your mobility scooter on roads as well as pavements, you scooter will have to travel 8 MPH and be equipped with lights.

4. Consider any restrictions at home.
Consider the width of your front gate or door and any steps you need to negotiate. If storage space is an issue then a small mobility scooter will be best suited.

5. Make sure your mobility scooter is comfortable?
Consider how much leg room you need and how much support you require. A swiveling captain seat will make getting on and off easier.

6. Does your mobility scooter need to be transportable?
Boot Scooter are easily transportable and designed for convenient travel. Some boot scooters can fold down or dismantal to fit into the boot of a car, and can be assembled and disassembled without tools.
